What is the Page resource in Moodle used for?
Answer
The Page resource in Moodle is simply a single blank web-based (html) page to which an instructor can add content such as text, links and multimedia. Instructors can edit the page using the same word-processor-style editing tools that are used throughout the course.
The Page is often used to collect information that would take up too much space on the front page of the course, so common uses for the Page include:
- Creating a list of important web links.
- Embedding one or more video files.
- Building a resource with text, images, videos, etc. focused on a single topic of textbook chapter.
- Building a study resource or study guide for students.
If you are interested in having a collection of pages in one space, you might try using the Moodle Book resource which is basically a collection of multiple pages.
